Regarding Deafmedic

This is one of the reasons I don't get too involved with anyone on the internet. I can't imagine how I would feel if I'd been "close" to deafmedic on an internet board, and had sent flowers or something to her widowed DH!

Sick joke, but not terribly surprising - these "jokes" happen often enough. I just feel for those who really cared about deafmedic and her family.

i honestly believe that the person that originally posted here about the death was informed through what was a supposdedly reliable source. i heard about it from the same source they did and the information was from family of the "victims" i know that the people involved have researched what has become known to be a hoax very well, and that this information is accurate

I really cannot help but wonder if this hoax wasn't concocted as a ploy to see if a "banned" Diser could be discussed given the timing of the announcement. Not by the OP but by those who came up with a really sick idea. Really, really sickening. It's one thing to make up your own death but to throw in the girls - that is beyond imaginable. Sometimes I'm very glad not to know some of the people behind these screens.

The rest of this may be because my emotions are so raw right now.

How dare they do such a thing? How dare you make up a story like that especially involving children?

Never for one moment would I want anyone to question my recent post. But this worries me that people would now. Why would someone do that?

Why make people upset and put them in distress over a death that never happened. Who ever thought that whole idea up is beyond sick! I really can't believe anyone would do such a thing. This makes me sick to my stomach.

No, it had nothing to do with the DIS or bannings.

From what I understand, this hoax began on another board where DM and her DH were considered good friends of everyone there. Her DH is the one who announced THERE that she and the DDs died in a car accident. They were the first people who were lied to and then the news made it's way here, only because people who post here and there wanted to spread the word that she passed away. I know it is confusing, hopfully that helps explain it.

You understand correctly.

This is just a case of someone making up some sick story for reasons we will probably never know. The thread that was posted here about it was posted out of the want to memorialize someone who was at the time thought to be a friend and to make posters here that knew the person aware of "the death".

It wasn't the OP--it was the person who conveyed info to the OP...or something like that. According to Alex and others--the info was thought to be nothing but the truth and the OP shared what was thought to be the truth. They didn't make it up nor did they go along with a ploy.

Exactly! We have been through hell! That is what we are trying to say! this This is horrible but at least we know the truth!
