Regarding current bounce back offers in rooms now..

Called CRO about the offer and the first cast member said I would be fine for the offer (my stay May 1-7th) explaining it would expire on the 7th.

Then I called back to double check and the other cast member gave the same date it was expiring.

How do you Know its going away May 7?

To me, it sounds like May 7th is when it would expire for you because that is that last day of your trip. Does not really mean that BB offer will be cancelled and no longer available to other guests. It just wouldn't be available for you since you are leaving on the May 7th.

We are going on 5/1 and staying at Old Key West (rented points) does anyone know if they have bounceback offers in DVC rooms? I'm thinking probably not, but It would be nice!

My question is, if they had free dining happen at that time, what would happen then? Thanks!

You mean if there was a Free Dining offer for the same dates as a room discount BB offer? Since you can't "stack" discounts, you would have to choose which offer made more sense $$$ to you and book that.

For example, if you already had a room discount BB booked and then Free Dining is anounced for the same time and you would rather have that, you would have to call and see if they could modify and switch your res over (but you would lose the room discount portion to go to the FD offer).

Otherwise you could always cancel your BB res and make a new FD res. It would be at no penalty as long as you cancel within the terms of the BB room discount offer (usually 5+ days ahead, or whatever your particular BB offer shows under cancellations), but then you would have to wait to get your deposit back, so it would be easier to just modify if they can.

Another FYI - in the past there have been different BB offers throughout the year and one was a Free Dining BB to be able to book a FD package a year ahead for the next years FD dates. It was the same FD offer as the public got the next spring, but being able to book a year ahead of everyone else meant you didn't have to worry whether WDW was going to offer it or not, plus you got the best resort availability. It will be interesting to see if they offer another one of those FD BB again sometime this year :thumbsup2

I agree, I also think they are telling beachclub that since they are checking out May 7th, it will expire for THEM (only) since they have to book a BB before checking out :)

Yes other DISers have reported they have received BB offers for the "regular" resort rooms (non DVC rooms) at DVC resorts before. So if you don't see anything I would still call the 8844 extension and ask what they have as a BB offer and see if it appeals to you. :)

Thanks, that's great news!

both cast members gave me that date prior to telling them when I check out. and they didnt know who they were talking to so they did not have any of my travel info in front of them based on any menu inputs i gave.

This expiration will coincide with a different type of offer coming out, according to this board, in the beginning of may. So it all makes sense to expire the bb offer at that time anyways.

DVC rooms are included in this current offer.
Last year we did book a dvc room using cash and getting 45% off the room so most bb offers do include DVC rooms.
A certain percentage of DVC rooms are purposely set aside as cash rooms every year, and if noone books those rooms at rack rates then the are included in the bb offer, those rack rates are pretty darn expensive hence why they are always on the bb offer, Some of those unsold rooms make it back to DVC inventory too if they are not booked offering waiting lists to be fullfilled by DVC members waiting for a room to open up

Take this with a grain of salt, as different CMs can communicate differing information, but I called today and spoke with a CM who said there is not an upcoming bounce back offer change that is different from the existing one. I was told that the current offer would be in existence beyond May 7th.

I would think someone will be able to confirm soon as May is almost here.

I actually didnt say another bb offer, I said another type of offer, I think people are talking about a free dining offer or something...

Take it for what its worth, From what i was told by 2 reps as being the same day Im going to take that for what it is and not wait until May 8th or 9th to book mine just in case....everyone else can wait all they want as I hope the cast members are wrong, But this bounceback has been around since the beginning of the year, They arent going to leave it on the table forever, I think its run its course and was very very fearful it was going to be gone May 1st.

When combining guests, if the lead guest on a reservation cancels, the entire reservation cancels and needs to be rebooked, and any promotion codes used on the reservation would be lost.

They do not permit name substitutions. There are some exceptions but generally Guest #1 is going to travel if they're on the reservation.

FWIW

I am hoping to book a bounceback trip for Just DH and I in November. I hope they still have great deals when we go in August.

Any insider info on whether or not this offer will become a public offer any time soon? I just checked Mousesavers and last year there was a GP room discount offer that came out on 5/3 - I'm hoping they'll have an offer again this year. Looking for 40% on the Poly for late September :thumbsup2
