Regarding CSR layout

I've just finished booking our vacation and we will be staying at CSR which I was told this is a big resort. In speaking with CM from the Disney Club she put in the only request that we had to be close to the main building, food, transportation due to my 6 year old being in leg braces and if she has a 10 minute walk to the bus stop where in trouble right off. My questions is where will they be putting us? What sections are the closest to the above list? inkbounc

I requested (and got) 8a Cabanas as it's so near to the bus stop and Dig site (and no chance of a car park view) but we really wished we'd asked for 9b as it's much closer to the main building (and there is a bus stop there) and the main pool is not much further away over the bridge!! You don't get a car park view there either I believe.

When we stayed at CSR in Sept 2000, we asked for Cabana 9B, closest to the food court. We got the first room when you cross the small bridge from the main building to the 9B building. It was the best. It was a ground floor corner room, so it had an extra window. The view was unbelievable - looks like the picture you see on all the CSR promotional stuff. The sunset fom that room made for such an extra Disney experience. Call back and ask specifically for a room in Cabana 9B as close to the main building as possible - you may get this room. If you check out my CSR info page below, I have a description of which buildings are where. There is also a resort map.

Casita 1 and cabana 9b are the closest to the main building and bus stop #1. But if you will use the pool area to, cabana 9b is probably you best bet.

We were in Cassita 1 with my mother, who had polio and has a limp. I would not recommend this for anyone with braces. Bus stop 2 is 1/4 of a mile from the cassita. Bus stop 1 is at check in, but to get there from Cassita 1 you have to go through several patios, sidewalks, etc, all of varying heights, etc. Mom had a lot of difficulty navigating this area, and in fact fell 2 times. It is a beautiful resort, but huge.
