I'll be at a conference at the Regal Sun next year. I've never stayed in an "Official Disney Hotel," only off-site and Disney resorts. How does it compare?
Is there much of a Disney theme there? Will we feel like we're in Disney World, or will we feel like we're more off-site? What's the service like? Are the beds soft? What other opinions do you have from your own experience?
What can I expect as far as transportation goes? Will buses come at specific times (like off-sites hotels) or will they just keep coming every 20 minutes or so (like Disney resorts)? Does each bus stop at each of the 4 parks, is there a separate bus for each park, or do all the buses take you to the TTC? And what about the way back to the hotel from the parks? Where do you get the buses and when?
Any other advice?
I have the option of adding on days to stay at Regal Sun before the conference, but I don't know if I should stay there or just go to a Disney resort for the rest of the time.
It's me, hubby, and two sons, 4 and turning 6 (birthday in Disney!) at the time we're there.
