We are considering Regal Palms for our trip in February. I have a couple questions for people who have stayed there. I think my kids will love the pool complex for the slide and lazy river, but they also love jumping in the pool and doing cannon balls... Is there an area where they can do this? Are they allowed to do this? Also, I read in a tripadvisor review that the pool complex closes at 9 pm and the hot tub at 8 pm. Is this still true? Those times seem a bit early to me. I thought the norm was 10 or 11 pm. Thanks for your help.

I know there are quite a few resort pools that will close at dusk. This is due to when they have a lifeguard on duty. As for running and jumping in, almost all resorts will ask children not to run around the pool area for safety reasons. The pool complex w/ lazy river here does look great and I'm sure they'll have a great time!

WE visited it last year to see if we would stay this year. It was beautiful ! Unfortunately we got a better deal at Vistana Resort and since we had stayed there before, we took it. The previous poster was right, most pools do not want kids doing cannon balls etc. I think you might like it, it is very nice.

We stayed there Spring Break 2005. They (the staff) would not say a word if your kids did cannonballs. There is a pool that you can jump into. The staff doesn't seem to care about anything. I'm not sure about the pool hours. When we stayed there they didn't have any outside lights, so the pool closed at sun down. The pool is super nice and my kids loved it, but I would not stay there again. It's too far from all the action and they offer no customer service. I like to be pampered a bit while on vacation.

Thanks for the reply. My kids do like to jump in the water so I was hoping there would be a place deep enough for them to get out and do a quick jump in on the side of the pool. We got a quote of $600 for a 4 bedroom townhouse for 7 nights including all taxes and fees. We thought that was a good price. I think we are going to try this place. We are not going to the parks everyday so I think the pool will keep the kids busy and happy. I am not worried about it being too far out or the customer service being bad as long as I am able to get into the townhome and use the amenities without a problem. I did read through about 100 tripadvisor reviews last night and a couple of those reviews made me a little nervous. I am hoping that things will be ok since I am going to rent through a private owner though. Wish me luck.
