We have wanted to try this on our last few trips to Epcot and this year we finally got around to it. We split the platter with pulled pork, ribs, sausage, mac and cheese and baked beans.

The mac and cheese was surprisingly tasty and the pulled pork was good. Sausage and beans were very average.

But let’s talk about the ribs. Forget about falling off the bone. They wouldn’t come off with a chainsaw. These were the driest, toughest ribs I’ve had in my life, no exaggeration. I couldn’t make ribs this tough if I tried. It’s shameful that this represents American bbq to all of Epcots visitors. Everything else could be fantastic (it was just ok) and these ribs would negate that. Terrible. One star. Never again.

Oh man! I'm from Memphis, and no way we tolerate that 'round here! I have been by Regal Eagle, and it smells pretty good and I hear good things, but I...just can't. I mean, I live in one of the established barbecue regions - I just can't bring myself to get it when travelling. Well, unless I'm travelling to Texas or something - but then it's brisket, not ribs!

@Beer Me - thanks for the review. I'd really wanted to try this when it was opening but when I come across anyone that knows BBQ they say the same thing, "Don't." That really doesn't shock me, just disappointing. But trying to delivery good BBQ at a place like Disney is a recipe for disaster. Things like Brisket and Ribs don't do well in a high volume business. We have a good local place with three locations and running out is a reality.

@BrianL I don't live in a BBQ Capital like Memphis anymore, but did live near KC worked a few KCBS events. I enjoy my smoker a ton and do a lot of great meals with it. As much as I want to try BBQ I've learned the hard lesson that unless I'm in an area very well know for it and it has multiple options, I don't bother anymore.

Yeah, KC, Texas, North Caorlina - all great barbecue areas. Memphis is still the best though, but they're all respectable.

I guess it's YMMV, Last week we got the platter.and all was good, not great, but good, ribs were very tender. Yesterday, not very good, tough and overcooked, DD got a burger and it was even overcooked, beans and fries were good
