I received a confirmation slip today from the people I booked with (Bridge/Paris Travel Service) and they have added a note next to my hotel reservation that there will be refurbishments taking place. This is at the Disneyland Hotel - it says they will take place Monday to Friday (the exact days we are staying!) between 9am and 6pm.

I am feeling quite peeved - because we were originally booked with Explorers but decided to upgrade to DLH 3 weeks ago. No-one mentioned the refurbishments then! Now I am thinking about all the extra money we paid for the special hotel and is it worth it if they are going to be working on it while we are there:(

Has anyonelse any further details on what is happening?

The Hotel has been under refurbishment for several months now, don't know exactly where when you stay there, but I suspect the rest of the hotel will be done eventually like this photo shows from late last month where was being refurbished.

Oh yowch! That is one BIG refurbishment! Is it affecting the main foyers/bar/restaurants do you know?

Might be worth contacting Disney to ask what this means to you :)

Can I contact them directly if I ordered via a brochure (went direct with Bridge)?

You never know you might get an upgrade to castle club like Paul and Debbie :goodvibes

I would go through Bridge to check how it will effect you.

Wouldn't that be fab!! I'll give them a ring tomorrow to see what they have to say about it.

The refurbishment as shown in the above image was in exactly the same way during our stay. It did not seem effect any of the hotel that we noticed at all. Maybe it may have forced the temporary closure of a few rooms.

You can request a room in the West Wing. Because the whole West Wing has been refurbished last spring!

That's a mighty fine (and sneaky) idea! ;)
