Refurbishing Beach Club rooms?

We are going to stay on property for the first time in November at the Beach Club - have always wanted to try Stormalong Bay (although I'm REALLY bummed about the loss of EE - I think Disney shot themselves in the foot with that one...)

I'd read somewhere that they are refurbishing the rooms at the Beach Club starting sometime in October - does anyone know how long this will take and where they will start (first floor rooms or at the top)?

Also, does anyone have a preferred room suggestion for the first floor - I prefer ground floor rooms for easy in and out access - no stairs or elevators.

They are starting on the first floor. I'll be at the Beach Club the week after renovations start, so I won't be able to get a renovated room (sorry, the pictures I post will be of the "old" rooms).

When will the renovations be finished?

I think maybe January or February. Or, if sooner, they'll have it finished by December 23 (to have it finished for the x-mas holiday).

We just returned from the BC. The renovations have begun. The pool area is shut down in some areas. Be prepared for noisey conditons as you relax by the pool.
When we checked in we were told that the hotel was full due to the fact that renovations have begun.
