Does anyone know how long it takes Disney to issue a credit card refund? I had to cancel my trip (for now) to pay for some car repairs and I really need that $400 to be off my card. It's been a week...I'm I just being impatient?
It can take up to two billing cycles for the credit to appear, so I wouldn't expect to see it after only one week. DCL issues the credit pretty quickly but it just depends on how quickly your credit card company posts it to your account.
I have cancelled a couple of cruises - the first one it was almost immediate that I received the refund, like the next day - I check my credit card on line. This last one, 2 weeks ago, it took 10 full days. I called DCL to complain and they said 7 to 10 days to get the refund. I used Dreams to book this one and DCL to book the other, I wonder if that made any difference?
...for your replies. I did use a travel agent to book this. Hopefully, that doesn't matter. 2 months is an incredibly long time. I'm hoping 7-10 days is more like it. Does anyone know if I can call Disney directly about this (I have a DCL confirmation #). My concern is that the request didn't go through. My date for no refund of the deposit is fast approaching.
I had the same concern, that somehow my cancellation did not happen. I called DCL directly, told them who I booked thru and they were able to look it up for me - there were slightly snotty about how long it would take. I also called my cc company after it had been 7 days and they offered to put it as a disputed transaction until the refund came - which would have essentially taken it off my account.
I recently cancelled a booked cruise. I called DU, they called and cancelled immediately. 4 days later the deposit was credited to my card. ( I checked online) I was told 1 to 2 billing cycles, but they were very quick!
