Refundable Passholder Deposit???

When I tried to modify my BRP room two days ago, the CM kept telling me that she couldn't modify if I was switching resorts. She said we have to cancel and rebook. I kept insisting that no, my refund is nonrefundable but you can change it. She had me almost convinced that my deposit was refundable til she looked up the details about BRP reservations & saw that it was nonrefundable. She modified my reservation. :earsgirl:

When I booked a 3 night Passholder Best Rate stay for January, my confirmation page stated:

"Apply Deposit

Please apply a deposit in the amount listed below to confirm this reservation. In order to receive a full refund of your deposit, notification of cancellation must be received at least 6 days prior to your arrival date."

Is this a change in policy? Is the passholder best rate deposit refundable now?

This is what it said when I booked about 2 weeks ago. I will say that I called 2 days ago when I found out that the kids were only getting 2 days off for Thanksgiving (due to hurricane Katrina) to change my dates. I really didn't know what to expect, they don't seem to all be on the same page, very irritating. The 1st CM left me on hold for 30 minutes and then disconnected me. When I called back I was not happy and the CM helping me changed my dates with no fees after calling guest services. I was able to view it online right after our phone call.
