We are going to Orlando in March staying 2 days at BWV and 3 days off-site at a really cheap timeshare deal I got and they throw in 2 free 1 day passes (you have to take the tour). We will be going back for 8 days in December to VWL so I thought I would get the AP with the DVC discount. I would like to purchase these passes now so that I can study the other AP discounts and maybe change the 2 days at BWV (points) for a cash ressie at one of the resorts. Also they keep saying this offer could end at any time so I hate to wait until we go and miss out. My question is what do I do with the 2 free passes? Can I get a refund for these at guest services? Also what about other people travelling with you? Are there going to be any DVC discounts on the Magic Your Way passes for these people? With the price increases on the AP's has anyone figured out the break even point? Just wondering. I appreciate any suggestions you can make.

There is another thread out there discussing the breakeven point. With so many variables the breakeven point will be personal to your situation. Personally I think its 10 days. Now...as for AP discounts... there are websites out there that list the benefits of APs...you don't need to buy one to find out what the declared benefits are. Hotel discounts are a little different though. I'd suggest visiting mousesavers.com to see what some of them might be at the moment. They appear to come out in quarterly cycles.

There are no DVC discounts on MYW (just yet). You might be able to apply the free tickets to the tickets for your traveling companions.

You can't get a refund on the ticket. In some instances you can trade it in towards your AP or other ticket. I am not sure about timeshare give away tickets, but on all other tickets you get the price paid (which is less then the gate price in this case) as a credit on you new purchase.
