Refund after checking out

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a refund back after you check out? We added some gift cards to our kttw card and when we checked out we ended up having a refund because we didn't spend it all.

I can't remember the exact amount of days but we were owed a refund once and it showed up in our checking out within a week of returning home.

They may refund it back in gift cards. I know if you book a room on a gift card and then cancel the reservation, they refund the gift card. People have run into problems because they threw out the gift card in the meantime.

They said they would return it to our card on file which happened to be our debit card.
