Does anyone know the refurb schedule into the New Year? Just wondering if Passports are going to be worth it. TIA!!

I found this on mouse planet...

Now, as you can see, there are many lengthly refurbs scheduled for the first few months of the year. After the Christmas season wraps up, the preparations for the 60th anniversary will be in full swing, and it will affect the whole half of the year (including the very busy spring break seasosn) ending mid-may just in time for the celebration.

Some of the rides are closing for simply a few days to do maintenance, while others are closing for months to do full-scale changes. For example, soarin' is getting a better screen projection and a sligtly different movie, perhaps to project images from all over the world, not just california. Matterhorn is getting a new bobsled track, as the recent additions have been really, really unpopular. And WOC is going dark for a couple months to get a few minor changes to the show. So after the refurbs let up, the rides should be in better condition, less likely to break down, and more enjoyable overall.:)

Where did you find info on the Matterhon refurb? You are the first person I've heard mention them replacing the track.

Disneyland calendar is out on the website for most of January. Closing are listed on each day. Splash refurb goes to April 3. Matterhorn and Soarin to May 16th.

You know, I remember seeing that info maybe once a couple weeks ago, but I just can't seem to remember where. I just think that since the refurbishment is so long (almost as long as the 2012 refurb), and it is right before the 60th anniversary, that they will probably do something other than just a quick maintenance to it (maybe not completely replacing the tracks, but probably doing something to make it less painful). Here is a link that I found that lists the closures and the reason why. There isn't much info on the Matterhorn, though, it just mentions the 2012 refurbishment...
