Refrigerators upon request at deluxe

Just called Disney Reservations after reading a thread from another board and requested that a refrigerator be placed in our room at WL at no charge. The CM had to check it, but she came back and said that it was official on the 16th (apparently of this month) that they would be put in and could be ordered now at no cost. While they may be slowly putting them into the resorts, you can apparently request now that your room have one. I asked if I had to request it or whether it would just be there and she indicaterd that I had to put it on my reservation. Hope I interpreted it right! Give it a try if your going soon!

Thanks for the info. I was hoping by our 9/25 trip they would be at AKL. Now I can just call and request it. Thanks again.

I am glad to hear there will be refrigerators in the rooms...now I don't have to be creative and use a styroform cooler and fill it with the resort ice every day. I am also going to call to request that the refrig be in the room upon arrival

I am staying at the Yacht Club in Nov.... Will refrigerators be in all the rooms or do we have to request it???

amcghfan01 - WDW is working on putting refridgerators in all deluxe and moderate rooms but it will take a few months. Since you may not know for sure if the YC will have this done by your stay, sounds like you can call and request one be in your room. Of course, since your stay is still a couple of months away, you could wait and see how this goes as it could be done at YC by then.

I thank you for this news! A question that you or another smart DIS person may know...if I booked my room through a private Disney-only travel agent, then who do I call for this request and when?

No worried if that is unknown since I am guilty of "Admits to occasionally posting just to see the countdown get closer to WDW day" like LisaZoe!!!
