Can anyone tell me if there are refrigerators in the Polynesian rooms? I am trying to figure out how to keep water chilled for each day. I guess if there aren't fridges, I will be using a lot of ice. I know we will need a lot of water in August. Thanks.

Only if you pay extra for one.

We used the refillable mugs- it was pretty eaasy for us to get to Captain Hooks to refill our mugs. I'm sure you could refill your own cup there with water for free.

This will be our 4th time at the Poly in August. Last year we rented the refrigerator b/c dd likes to fall asleep with a sippy with cold water.....but we really didn't need it b/c we could have used the ice and Captain Cooks.

This year we have decided to upgrade to concierge which comes with a refrigerator. However if I did not upgrade I was not going to get one this year.

Even so, they are $10 a day. You could try without and always get one during your trip if you want it.

As an FYI, the fridges in teh concierge rooms are more like "coolers". They will chill, but not "ice" your drinks.

There is no freezer compartment.

We rented a frig at the Poly in May for $10/day (plus tax). They are what I would call a "dorm size" frig with a small freezer compartment. If you need things frozen that are too big for the compartment, crank the temperature on the frig down and the whole thing will work as a freezer. We were quite surprised when we opened our frozen beer and sodas!!

Another poster on this board recommended a service that delivers the frig to the hotel. I kept the information because I noticed that the pricing was better than WDW. Also, WDW doesn't quarantee that you will get a frig if you request one, unless it is for medical purposes.

If you are simply using it for water, I bought a bag at the local Sam's Club last week that says it will keep things frozen for 6 hours. While I won't be using it for that, I thought it might work well to keep things chilled in the hotel room without needing a frig. I figure I'll just get some large ziploc freezer bags and fill with ice as needed to keep in the bag. The bag itself cost only $6, so it should pay for itself immediately.

Here's the link to the delivery service I mentioned earlier:

Have a great trip!!
