Do value resorts have refrigerators??

I was in a standard room in November at All Star Music & we had a mini-fridge.

Yes all the Values have them now. They're really electric coolers. Some people say they keep things very cold, some say they just keep things cool. They do not have a freezer section.

Electric coolers keep things that are already cold, cold. They do not re-chill things that are warm.

Disney installed these for a few reasons. Beverage coolers do not use the electricity that regular half size refrigerators consume.

The staff to continue to coordinate picking up and delivering the old tiny fridges to the room is unbelievable.

The staff needed to physically deliver the units and lost time due to back injuries.

The cost for storage of the units in a climate controlled environment vs. Keeping them in the room.

It is a no-brainer.

It's entirely likely that other people (including the original poster) reading this thread weren't aware of the differences. Also very likely you were quoted only to give some context to the response. Never know when one or more posts will intervene .
