$25 NOT to eat the $10 candy bar - interesting. Do you get the money back?
Didnt know this option existed.
What we do is purchase a cooler at Publix or Wal-Mart. The hotels have unlimited ice. You could also put the ice in the inner sink (there are two sinks) and put towel over it. This is an old Hospitality Room Trick.
No fridge in the room. Like mentioned above, stop at Publix and stock a cooler. Or you can pay the $25 to rent a fridge at checkin.
There is only one sink in the RPR rooms. There is no sink in the bathroom.
Pictures of my latest trip are here. http://www.nogodforme.com/RPR2005.htm
And this is how you get to Publix. http://www.nogodforme.com/directionstopublix.htm
i didn't bother with the fridge either. i just took a collapsable cooler and large ziploc bags. we filled with ice every morning and kept juice and fruit cold all day. before bed, we filled it again and bought milk from the lounge at RPR and had it for morning cereal. worked out great!
I've done both the Publix styrofoam cooler and collapsible cooler, which work very well. The collapsibles are nice - I don't have to deal with the guilt of throwing away something that's still in good shape. You can probably get a good deal on one now, too. I think I got mine at Target for ~ $7.00 - holds up to a 12 pack.
Another trick - put a plastic bag inside the trash can and fill it with ice. Works great to keep your beer cold!
