It's been literally years and years since we've been able to see either attraction but it sounds like they will be open this year since Alien Encounter is closed.

My DH remembers loving timekeeper and I remember Robin Williams being in it but don't remember anything else.

I know Carousel of Progress has that rotating stage but I don't really remember the details.

So, give me the rundown! Oh, will the kids like these? We'll drag them on anyway but I just wondered if there was any kid appeal. They're 8 & 11.

Timekeeper is located in the old Circle-Vision building. The somewhat maniacal, audio-animatronic "timekeeper" (voiced by Robin Williams) takes you back in time to19th century Paris via the 360 degree film.

Carousel of Progress has the rotating stage that stops at four vignettes, that show the progress of better life at home through electricity during four different time periods. All the family members, and the dog, are A-A, and there is a catchy little tune sung between scene transitions... "It's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow". The host voice is Rex Allen.

I have only seen the TimeKeeper once, but it was a decent attraction. The COP is one of my favorites. I love the rotating stage and the song. I will sing that song the rest of the day of the trip. Uh Oh, it starting right now.........

I'm looking forward to CoP on this trip, as it wasn't open last year for our trip. I did see it on my first trip, but that was in 1984, and I was, like, 8 years old, so I barely remember it except that I was bored and wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad again :)

Unfortunately, Timekeeper has returned to seasonal operation, so I'll probably miss it again. Hopefully the rumor of Stitch doing previews/soft openings in early June are true. I'd love to be able to see it!

Oh no! I was more excited about Timekeeper than COP. Is this true? Anyone else? also, might the stitch thing start previewing the last week in May? That would be cool.

Anybody else?

COP :teeth:  LOL!!!

Ok now I got that off my chest I can explain. None of us had ever seen COP so on our trip last month we did it, and did it and did it! Not by our own choice though, it kept breaking down or stopping for some reason and we kept hearing the same segments over and over, or 1 1/2 times and miss half of the next! We thought we'd never get off. We sat thru the last segment two whole times and the audience got loopy and we were all singing that song out loud!:p

COP has now replaced Small World on our cheesy WDW must do list!

I actually LOVE both of these attractions!

I love the nostalgia of CoP (plus, I get to learn all about that new electricity thing!) :p , and Timekeeper is unique, entertaining, yet unfortunately, only open seasonally (usually sounding the death knell for an attraction)
