Refinance Information with Wells Fargo

Finally got through to someone who was able to clarify the Making Home Affordable Refinance for those of us who ended up with lender paid PMI.

They offered me a 30 year refi with no home appraisal at 5.25%. That drops our payments $100. I am pleased.

Should be able to close in four weeks.

it only took six months of calling to find someone who knew anything.

I've given up trying to find someone at Wells Fargo to help me. They have the WORST customer service.

We got 15 yr at 4.65% from Wells Fargo. And my house appraised for $110K more than we paid for it.

Don't forget about the Bi-Saver plan - you pay half the mortgage every other week (so you make 26 half payments a year). You can pay off that mortgage in 22 years instead of 30.

We're closing on ours tomorrow morning (or signing the papers with the notary). We actually had a Wells Fargo lender call us to offer it to us. Sounded too good to be true, but no closing costs or appraisal and drops our payments over $120/month.
