Refillable popcorn bucket:-)

I bought one yesterday at mk and they told me I could refill every day until they change the buckets. She thought that would be about Every 3 weeks. Who knows. At $1.50 a refill they still are not loosing money so I'm guessing they will keep letting people refill.

This would be awesome if you can get refills for a whole trip at $1.50, but it could really stink if they change the bucket the day after you buy it

I'm definitely hoping it can be a mutiple day and park thing. We are serious park hoppers and popcorn eaters ( saw Finding Dory today and my family ate TWO large buckets!!) and would love to buy one container and get refills as needed!! Since our trip is in August there is still time to watch how this unfolds.

Disney's refillable buckets are only refillable for 1 day. How much popcorn can you eat in 1 day?

well to be fair, there are three of us, and when we get popcorn, we share it, so the amount we each eat isn't really all that much. I'm sure that I could eat an entire bucket on my own, and DH and DS could probably each eat two full buckets in a day (we love popcorn!) so this would be worthwhile for us.

They changed them this year. We went the beginning of May and saw the smaller buckets being sold in the MK at the popcorn stand in front of guest relations. DH pointed out how much smaller they were and we passed on buying it.

It looks shorter, but it also looks a little wider. Sometimes it's hard to tell in a picture.

Just read about refillable popcorn buckets, beginning June 26th ($10 initial cost / $1.50 same day refills). I am hoping this is also for the flavoured popcorn in Epcot! Oldest DD always picks popcorn as a snack at Disney and we always use the container at home afterwards. Hoping that someone tries this out on the 26th and reports back. Thinking you could snack on the popcorn during the day and fill up when you leave the park. It says it will be available in all 4 parks

Ok, so I got a han solo today and the popcorn that came with it was in this cardboard box that was tiny, didnt' even fill the not all that large han solo bucket. I haven't run into a better bucket to see if they fill it up or give you the little cardboard box that is pathetic..

Update. Have refilled at Epcot and hs. No issues except cm that complained it's messy and wish they'd let them just fill a bag to give us. That would be nice! Seems like it's about a scoop and a half. Been a great cheap snack for us!

Saw this on the news & rumor thread from someone who, I think, is a cast member:

Alright visited my friends at the studios yesterday for a wonderful 12hr shift and not only did I learn about the new popcorn program, I got to do it!

A few facts.

• Buckets cost 11$. At DHS they are only sold at Hey Howdy Hey in Pixar Place, other carts have SW non refillable buckets.
• Buckets can be refilled for 1.50$ at any cart in any park.
• Bucket must be one of the programs buckets, not an older 2013Christmas one that's sitting at home with a potted plant growing in it.
• Again they can be refilled at any park
• They are advertised as single day refills only however.. There is no marking on the bucket specifying day or purchase nor do we ask for a receipt.... (I'd still hold on the the reciept tho.)
• When refilling you must open the bucket, set on the counter and slide it towards the CM. The CM CANNOT TOUCH THE BUCKET at all. This is per Orange Counties health regulations.
• CM will fill the bucket to the top, they will not crown it up tho due to the lack of touching in the filling process.
• Refills are Snack plan eligible, initial bucket purchase is not.
• And finally, it's popcorn, Disney popcorn! You can't go wrong here folks.

We were there in August and they had Buffalo Chicken Blue Cheese flavour, Cheddar flavour, Sour Cream flavour. We mix the buffalo chicken / sour cream. So good. I've never heard of honey. Sounds good though

Someone a few posts up said CM don't ask but to keep the receipt on hand just in case. It just has to be one of the refillable ones, not just any bucket.

We just got back last night from a 13 night stay. We purchased the bucket on our first night at Hollywood studios. We refilled it probably every day of our stay with no issues at all! When we bought the bucket, the CM told us we could refill the bucket for our entire stay.
