Refillable Mugs

I'm sure this has been asked many times before but are refillable mugs available for the Disneyland Resorts?

Thanks for your quick reply. I bought one years age while staying at the Grand California - hoping they still sold them.

They have "souvenir" mugs, and the ones for coffee/cocoa etc generally come with ONE free drink (similar to how Starbucks gives you a drink for free when you buy a travel mug), but you can't refill it for free like at WDW. And even if you go to a self-serve place for coffee, etc, they'll get really worried unless they know you know that you're going to be paying full price for that coffee.

The White Water Snacks lady must have confirmed with me 3 times in different ways that I knew that I would be paying...I had one normal cup (for hubby) and one souvenir mug that I had bought previously, I came up *telling* her that I knew...but she was very nervous about it (I'm assuming she's had some annoyed people regarding souvenir vs refillable).


And the Souvenir Sippers, for soda, can't be refilled at all, as far as I can tell. Only fell for THOSE one time...crazy huge....oh wait, we did it twice...crazy huge Buzz (he leaks!) and Woody souvenir sipper mugs. We don't even drink soda!!!! But DS wanted them and we were still in the process of buying every souvenir they have, LOL.

Grand Californian used to sell ones that offered free refills for life, then they changed to length of stay, they are no longer being sold; however, if you still have the first ones Whitewater Snacks still honors them. Beyond that I don't know of any.

I didn't know that about the GCH mug. I still have one from over 7 years ago! I did find out that sodas are refillable at Rancho del Zocalo. I asked them and we refilled twice. I imagine you could also go back later in the day if you kept yoour cup. I went in the entrance and back out the entrance after refilling and no one questioned me. I also helped myself to ice several times at this location using my refillable mug throughout our visit (no line!). They have cups available for ice and water is outside. The best disney tip imo is that any counter service location will give you free ice or icewater with or without purchase. We took full advantage of this when it was over 100 degrees! We took our own sodas to the park to save money, however, we did have a stroller to serve as our baggage cart!

I don't know about the refillable for life mugs. I was there on the second day the GC was opened and bought a refillable for the length of stay from the pay fridge in my room. There were just like the ones at WDW and cost around $10. I stayed there in Aug and they have the same mug with the GC logo on it and it says its only for one drink and it's cheaper then $10. I was told it was not refillable. Would be nice when they open the villas if they once again made them refillable for the length of stay again. I was very surprise to see them again, since I had not seen them in few years... Not sure White Water would still honer anything since the mugs are still for sale and were never for life....

I remember several years ago, they made an announcement on MousePlanet and other fan sites, that WWS would no longer be honoring the original refillable mugs. I think Wade may be providing outdated info.

Actually we just returned from a trip. I bought a frozen lemonade in a souvenir cup and was told I could get soda refills in that for 2.99. since we Have AP's we never got refills in that, we always got the 2.99 32oz. soda in the disposable cup, but it was nice to know in the future I could use the souvenir cup.

That would be awesome!
Is it a cup with lid or a sipper sort with a straw?
