Refillable mugs?

I am going to WDW for the 1st time one month from today( ) and I am curious about these. Where do you get them? What is the policy on their use?(as in where can and can't I use them?) What are the prices on them? Are they worth buying?

Refillable are certainly worth buying, it saves a bit of money. However you can only use the mugs in the resort that you buy them from. Here is a link which gives more information:

iv been useng my allstar sports mug for 8 years 3 to 4 times a year,,and im going to keep useing it ..iv used it at pop and no one said a word..i see others doing the same thing..

During the year of a million dreams, the mugs are identical at all of the resorts. We stayed at two different resorts during our last visit, and we were able to use the mugs at both resorts.

I spoke to a cast member who said that, because it is the same mug, guests are not required to purchase another one.

The mugs are approximately $12.00 each and you can refill them as many times as you want at your resort only. Whether or not they are a value to you depends on how many trips you are willing to make to the refill station.

In our case, it didn't make sense to purchase the mugs. There are four of us in our group so just purchasing the mugs would have been a pretty penny. Also, we stay in a moderate resort so a refrigerator is provided at no extra cost.

We drive to WDW so we are able to bring along Cokes, water, milk, etc. We simply put our drinks in the refrigerator and are good to go.

We spend the majority of our time at the parks so the only time we are at our resort to refill them is late in the evening.

Just doesn't pay for our family to purchase the mugs but I can see how they would be to others.

To back up what Jill227 said the YOAMD mugs can be used at any Resort, so they no longer have the rule of refilling them up at the Resort you stay at. I am at WDW right now staying at the Contemporary and even though they are selling the Contemporary Resort mugs, I have seen other guests using the YOAMD mugs at the Food & Fun Center.

Thanks! It sounds like we may buy them, but on the other hand...we'll be spending most of our time in the parks as well. We are staying at the POP and bringing a hard shell cooler for the room and a small soft sided cooler to take bottled water into the parks( Is that allowed? ) Ice we cna get from the ice machine, I assume..?
