Refillable Mugs - Yay or Nay?

Eh, didn't buy one last trip. May buy one in December more as a souvenier than to get my money's worth, but only if I like the design. I do drink diet coke occasionally, but not at night or in the morning when we're most likely to be at the resort. I do drink coffee, but don't care for the nescafe junk at WDW.

We have in the past - but this time we are gonna buy water and juice to put in the room fridge. Would we get in trouble bringing in juice for DD? - now that they do not sell tropicana ? We really are not planning on eating at resort that much - maybe 2 or 3 breakfasts...or spending that much time at resort. I probably would if they actually held more. Coffee there isn't that great and I would rather start day off woth water or healthy juice.

I definitely use them...over and over again!

Actually, I like to get up early, walk down to the food court and get hot water to make tea. Then I fill it up with Diet Coke and walk back to the room. When DS gets up, I get him some Coke once he has a bit of milk first (pesty Mom). And that just mornings so it works well for us.

We use them all of the time at our resort. We also use them a lot at home.

We don't use them because we usually aren't at the resort enough to get any use out of them. This past trip, we didn't eat at the food court one time! So it would be really inconvenient. We did get souvineer mugs at MGM. They were $4, a much better deal for us! (and we got a matching popcorn bucket)

Oh and we usually bring bottled water and sodas and keep them in a cooler in the room. We just drink those in the morning and evenings.

But since it is, and we don't drink soda, the answer is no.

Nope, we tend to not like wasting time at the food courts (icky food usually) so rarely go through there. I need Dr Pepper anyways. So we just buy it at Walmart and store it in our fridge. Take a 20 ouncer with me to the parks and I can just chunk it when I'm done instead of toting around a mug.

I almost always do. I am the one up early, so I always go get the coffe and bring it back. I never look at it as an economic thing, some stays are longer and I get lots of use out of them, some stays are short and maybe I only use it once. No matter to me, I use them at home a lot. Yes, they take up a bit of room coming home, but when you are having your morning coffee in an AKL mug, the memories are worth it.

Yes I definately use them. I have never re-used them (not that I'm an advocate either way...I really don't care if others do re-use.) I will only buy them if they are the smaller bottom ones though, since I like to drink coffee on my way to work and the big mugs don't fit in my car holder.

We sometimes do. It depends on whether or not we are staying concierge (since they provide complimentary beverages) or if the refill location is convenient (for example, it's not very convenient at the BWI, so we don't get them when we stay there). I do like collecting them from the different resorts though. Looking forward to adding an OKW mug to my collection on our next trip.

Yes we used them all the time. We got plenty of use from them while we where there and my daughter uses them all the time at home.

Funny you should mention the coffee, my DH is the coffee drinker in the family and he hates it, says it's tasteless!

I think they're very cute and really inexpensive as a souvenir anyway even if we don't get that much soda or coffee which makes me curious as to why you say "never".

Never have here... I don't drink much other than water so they don't have much use for me!

Same here. I only drink pop/soda and juice occasionally, and don't drink coffee at all.

A refillable wine glass however ...... might get my money's worth out of that one on vacation
