Refillable mugs on Ebay

I was looking on Ebay for something unrelated to this...but actually saw an auction for 2 refillable mugs from Pop Century for $20.00 and $4.50 shipping! Since they are only $11.99 new, why would someone pay that much?

That is crazy!! I had a friend of a friend call and ask lots of questions about WDW. She kept complaining about how expensive everything was at WDW. Then she went and ordered park maps off of EBAY - she paid $2 for each park map! These maps are free and I just couldn't believe she paid for them!

Wow, I have to Pop mugs and one All Star Sports mug. I have tons of park maps. Maybe I should check out this Ebay thing.

$2 A MAP????? That's ridiculous!
I sell an information guide that I wrote, along with a full set of park maps, transportation maps, coupons books, etc. for $11.95. Didn't realize I had been undercharging people so much

The one thing to remember about eBay, people will pay for something they want and don't have to travel to get! Anything that can only be purchased at a vacation destination and not at a K Mart has a value to it.

Believe me, I've been the benefactor of this several times!

Some people have existing funds in their paypal account and don't want to register their bank account with paypal to get that money out. I find that these people tend to bid higher on items than they normally would.

At one time were the mugs refillable for any visit? This is what we were told by CMs in 1997 and 1998. Reused mugs once at AllStar Movies in 1998 -- trips were about 3 months apart.
