IF we decide to purchase refillable mugs (jury is still out on this) do we have to buy on at the resort and then also on the Wonder?? Seems like they should have one you can use on both the land and sea portion of your package.
Does anyone know or had tried this?

They do not have land/sea mugs. If you want them, you have to buy them at the resort and on the Wonder.

We have used the resort mugs on our last two trips to DW. We did not have to pay for any beverages put in these mugs. There was always coffee, juice, tea and the makings for hot chocolate along with the soft drinks from the dispenser.
I wish I could remember the cost of the mugs this past Dec. but that little piece of info has slipped off into oblivion.

Certain WDW resorts do charge a small fee for refills, other do not charge at all. Does not make sense to me, but that is the way it is. It depends on the resort.

That would be a great idea, though, to have a land/sea mug to use during the duration of your trip!

Yeah, land/sea mugs would be great. I think it would be worth it then. But if I have to buy one for the resort and then one for the cruise, I don't htink so. I might do just the one for the cruise. then I can add some of my Parrot Bay rum to it and have a nice souvenir!

As WDWTrekker, Moderator of Resorts Board, has posted in the past, the Resort Mugs are also purchased with refills for the length of stay at the Resort. They are not good for return trips to the Resorts. That is the official word that has been received in writing from WDW.

Now back to our regularly scheduled Cruise Board.... :) :)

The cruise mugs are $5 a day - since you can get refills all day long.

The resort mugs are $10 - doesn't matter lenght of stay. These are good in the morning before going to the parks, if you come back during the day, and at night when returning to the parks. Cheaper since they are not good while you are in the parks, at the shows, etc. like they are on the ship.

For a land/sea package, it would be $10 at the parks, $15 or $20 for the cruise. (toal $25 to $30)

For a 7-day cruise, $35.

Just a small point - the price of the refillable soda mug on the cruise is the same if you buy it on the first day or the last day. The $5 per day is the 'average price'. In other words, if you are on the 7 day cruise, the mug will cost $35 if you buy it on Saturday when you board or on Friday, the night before you will be leaving.

I know when we stayed at PO-R we brought back mugs that were purchased 3 months earlier, there were even people that had gotten theres years ago and they still let them refill them. As far as on the cruise, it all depends on how much you drink, at breakfast and lunch juice and milk are included and at dinner pop is also included. It all depends on how much pop you are going to drink, you need the water to stay hydraded because with the salt water and the heat you can drain easily. Hope this helps. And word of advice, if you book through AAA when you board the ship they give you a free refillable mug. It looks a little differant then the other ones but who cares its free and its refillable what more could you ask for.
