Refillable Mugs at the Polynesian

I know the Polynesian had refillable mugs but are they worth it since there is no "food court". Where do you get them filled and what drinks can you get (we loved the hot chocolate at POR). Can they be refilled at any time?

You get them filled in the sanck bar. It's open 24 hours.

The lounge and the pool bar will refill your mugs with coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and sodas. The lounges are located by the pool and in the GCH. For many rooms, the GCH is closer to the guest rooms than most of POR rooms are to the food court.

We hardly ate at the 24 hour place, but used our mugs a lot. We went in September 01 when the hours at the parks were shorter and we did hit more rain than we had thought (like 3-4 hours each day). Our family is big on soda so it pays for us.

Last Dec. when we were there, we'd get hot chocolate at Captain Cooks and then go out to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pagent. Captain Cooks is sort of a mini food court.

We just came back from the Poly last week. We also bought a refillable mug. You can get it from Captain Cook's which does open 24 hours. The drinks are coke, diet coke, sprite, root beer, lemonade, water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc. No juices though. It was our first time using the mug. We stayed at the Tokelau building. Although it was a bit walk to Captain Cook's from the building, especially after a day in the park, we loved it and will get it in our next trip to WDW.
