Ha Ha cute......... Those are made in CHINA! I want the real deal - AMERICAN MADE!!!!:rotfl:

So I finally read this thread and realize we have seen a brown WDW mug at the local Goodwill store. UGHH Coulda saved a fortune!

Well the kids are going to be disappointed, no frozen cokes on that list.

So what do the new 2010 mugs look like?

I have mugs since 2004 from various resorts and not once have I ever been questioned about using it. Disney would much rather make you happy than piss you off over a few cents for a soda.
While there are rules, cast members don't enforce it.

And the 2010 mugs are still the same. But they've changed the design of the mug, it now tapers all the way down, with a picture to the bottom of the mug. Not a fan of the new design, I still like the half/half look.

Frozen cokes were taken out ages ago... the last place that had them were POP century. I miss having that.

We are headed to FW in April .. anyone out there have any pictures of the new 2010 refillable mugs? I used mine from 2008 ALL the time - almsot daily. It reminds me every morning why I go to work... To earn $$ to bring my family back to see The Mouse! :wizard:

:surfweb: Post a pic of the new mugs - I'd love ot see them!!

Bumping this, because it's exactly the info I was looking for, and hopefully someone else can benefit from it, too.

Didn't want to start a new thread when the info was already out there, ya know :dancer:

This is an old thread, but I put some updated information in the first post, in case anyone is interested.

Have not bought a refillable mug in years, so if you see me or my DW with one, it has our 'stuff' in it. Besides, my wife says that the coffee at TE was getting strong enough, she was starting to grow hair on her chest.

Ok, the new sign looks HORRIBLE.:sick:

I wonder if that means they're changing the rules... since they are universal mugs that are good for 18 months.

For the most part, most guest that visit disney world, do so about once every 5 years. They're still selling tons of mugs in comparison to those that bring it back time and time again. Yeah, I'm a soda thief at the World.

So...they upgraded the drink machine at Trail's End and didn't add Coke Zero?? Ohhhh.....my DH is going to be so upset!! Most of the other food courts are now offering Coke Zero!! The Fort is always the "red-headed stepchild". <sigh>

okay... I really do have a question.

Last September we purchased 3 mugs from the trading post store upon our arrival. The next morning, we hopped on the golf cart to fill em up with coffee. The CM told us we had to show our receipt:confused3 Uh.... so we went back to the RV... dug around and realized we probably just threw it out or lost it. So... we never used the mugs the entire 8 days thinking we would always be asked for our receipt.

so.. now I wonder if we take them back on our upcoming Nov trip if we could finally be able to use them for what we bought them for?? I don't want to be dishonest... as we wouldn't be purchasing them for this stay....but we never used them on the last trip, in fact, we've NEVER used them. We packed them up when we got back and just forgot about them... along with the 5 ponchos we purchased at AK.

What would you do?

I would follow the rules and purchase new mugs and only use them at the location I purchased them for the length of that visit. (Insert Pinocchio smiley here).

But, I have to tell you that I have never been asked to show a receipt for my refillable mug anywhere. And I have personally seen people get refills this year at the Meadow Snack Bar in 2008 YOMD mugs. There is no way that they purchased those mugs on that visit.

You have to decide what you want to do. But, I highly doubt that you would be asked to show a receipt if you wanted to re-use these mugs.

Also, you will be happy to know that there is no rule against the re-use of ponchos. So, you are good to go there. Hopefully, you won't need them.

Unless the CM that you purchased it from didn't remove the yellow tag, that's their way of distinguishing between a new cup and a previously purchased cup.

I don't think I would've forked over 12$ a mug, have that happen and NOT talk to a manager.

over $50 for a mug? PLUS shipping.:confused3

I have a circa 1995 Comtemporary Resort barely used forever mug with free shipping for $50. :rotfl:

Will trade for FW pickles. :woohoo:
