refillable mugs at Fort

since on another board here at the DIS everyone is begging WDW to change their coffee from Sanka (or whatever freeze dried goo they pass off as coffee) to real brewed coffee.....

does the fort (both trading posts) also serve the freeze dried garbage or is it real brewed coffee?

DH has taken to going off site at least once a day for his Dunken Donuts coffee fix, but that is getting old for all of us.

next trip to the fort we may bring the coffee pot and brew our own if the stuff you get at the trading posts is "fake" coffee.

I think it's Nescafe, isn't it?

Regardless, I brew fresh ground Kona at the camper.

Nescafe - that's what i was thinking of....... thanks.

is that the brewed stuff or the instant stuff?

DH has had some very bad coffee experiences at WDW and i am getting sick of his daily trecks to DD. he always ends up being gone FOREVER - could it be because there is a harley dealership in the same strip mall as the DD?!?!?!

anyway - i think we will be dragging the coffee pot with us in Aug and he can make his own. (still not as good as DD, but good enough to keep him on property.)

oh - and to add my 2 cents to the mug debate:

we buy a new mug for each visit.

when staying at the fort, we find that the mug isn't a good investment. (much cheaper and easier to have drinks in the cooler/fridge at the campsite)

we also agreed that if ever at a resort and using free dining again, the mug isn't worth it either.

The coffee at the meadows is better than trails end IMO. When I first saw the thread about mugs I lol and thought get off your wallet cheapskates. I bought one this week and it paid for itself by the 2nd day. It was really nice at the pool and my morning cup of joe at the meadows. I made sure I put it up in the camper for later use. I know I know, it's supposed to be used on this trip and you're supposed to buy another one for next time. I left around six bills at the fort and WDW this week (annual passholder so had tix) so I think they can let me have a free drink here and there. I'm sure to be bashed but oh well I'm using it again unless one of my fellow dis'ers has me assassinated before June 4th lol.

Whoa...hold on here. Now I can deal with the entire should we re-use the refillable mugs issue..but are you telling me they don't have fresh brewed coffee in Disney?:confused3 ....I am going to faint dead away. I NEED my morning coffee...not some freeze dried crapola. COFFEE..REAL COFFEE...DON'T MESS WITH MY COFFEE! I am going to be at the WL in May..and do you mean I have to bring my own real coffee..heck forget the refillable mug..I'll be throwing that mug at someone if I can't get a decent cup of coffee.:scared1: Did I mention..that I enjoy a good cup of coffee?:coffee: Now if I had the trailer in FW...I figure I'd be making my own anyway..but is this the case at the resorts also. Is the coffee at the Meadow or Settlement Trading Posts..different from the coffee at the Trails End? Sheesh..I may have to cancel the trip...(not)!

The coffee everywhere at WDW tastes fresh-brewed and I have always assumed it is fresh-brewed. Its definitely not Sanka. As for reusing mugs, I've reused my mug I purchased in 1998 so many times that my coffee cost must be down to a penny or two per cup. I've noticed that my Disney stock continues to increase nicely in value year after year, so giving people who spend several thousand dollars a year at WDW some cheap coffee hasn't seemed to have much effect on the bottom line.

Now I'm used too drinking that joffreys crap in a pack, at my office every morning I find the Disney coffee pretty good:coffee:
