Do they limit the number of refills you can get in a day? Do they track the number of refills in any way?

Could you buy one mug, fill it up, take it back to your room, transfer the drink to another cup/bottle, then go back and repeat the process?

The mugs do not have a limit on refills and they are not tracked.Your going-back-to-the-room scenario will work, but I am not sure it would be the most ethical thing to do-unless you alone are going to drink all the transferred drinks.:)

The ethical issue...yeah, that crossed my mind too...that's why I was asking if that's how the system works.

I was also asking because what happens if you get back to the hotel after the food area closes? Sounds like you could get the drink for the night time earlier and then store it in the room until later or is that also not allowed?

That would be fine.:) The main thing is that each mug is for unlimited refills for THE SAME PERSON who uses it the first time and nobody else.:)

No and No.

Yes, but it would be such a pain in the *** that you'd give up quickly. If you drink a lot of pop, stop at the grocery and buy a case or two. It'll cost you less than the mug and you won't have to go anywhere to get it. :)

No limit...no tracking...

You could but it would be a pain. We only had one mug this last trip. My husband used it most of the time, but we shared at times, too, with no problems.

There are no limits at all when it comes to how a guest wishes to use the mug while in WDW, with the expection of using them at the parks and counter service locations in DTD. So with that being said if the OP wanted to do this there is nothing wrong with it. I agree that it might be a pain to keep going and fourth, however if they have purchased the mug and that tap on it is broken they are doing nothing wrong.

The Cast Members don't care if more then 1 person uses the same mug and there are no rules which say the mugs can not be shared by more then one person. They don't take you're finger scan when purchasing a mug to ensure no one else uses it, like they do when entering the parks by making sure you can only use that specific ticket.

sure you can, but is it worth the time for the amount of money .. spend the $12 and get the extra mug. ;)

actually, I do not think it states that anywhere.. never did. Only use to state that it was good for that stay only.. ;) prior to the change in design, when staying at the All Stars, you could have purchased a Music, Movies &/or Sports.. then each of you used each others.. didn't matter... as long as it was for that stay.. and since they are sister resorts, you can use them at each resort. SAME person EACH time is NOT true...at least it was never written anywhere as the lenght of stay was (on the mugs) only that the mug was good for the LENGTH of that stay...:wizard:

Disney expects everyone that wants soda to have their own mugs. If they are children then it isn't a problem sharing.

I also don't think we can speak for all cm's here on the DIS. There are many that enforce the rules at the resorts.
