>> Refillable Mug FAQ <<

What colors (for the lids) are available at the Pop? What's mug design?

We were @ WDW last August. We have the Mugs that are darker. We also have the prior ones, pool side. Yes, we have a collection and DH wants to get rid of some. Me and the kids don't want to part with them. It's our souvenirs. And we do use them at home. OK, not all of them.

Hoping for different ones this time. At Pop, what design is on the mug?

Next issue, we are a family of five (we have 2 rooms, that was all I could get at very last minute), and need 5 colors but at most, some resorts have 4. We tried all things to indicate our personal mugs and it doesn't work. There is always an issue w/ my kids and would like to avoid it. Do they sell the old one still? Or can I bring one of my old mug and have it reactivated (paying for it)? This way we all have unique mugs and colors.

If you can reactivated, will my old mugs work since all my mugs have gone in the dishwater?

Lastly, what are the drinks at the stations at Pop?
My kids don't drink carbonated drinks. Most stattions don't have fruit punch. And some lemonades have a flavor added? Light Lemonade or Pomegranate Lemonade. Trying to plan ahead. My kids saw Fruit Punch at the GF station and they wondered why all the stations are not the same. Hoping for Fruit Punch and Pink Lemonade (less tart).

Thanks for all your help.
I'm not sure which design you have, but we went in October last year and the design has changed since then. It was the Hotel checkin scene. Now it's the driving to WDW hotels design. http://www.chipandco.com/resort-rapid-refill-mugs-showing-walt-disney-world-resorts-222314/

Do you have this one? We are excited about getting the new design this year. We love our mugs, we will have 4 different designs now haha!

Thanks for the pic. I don't have that one. Glad to get new ones.

I do want one old one. Do they have any old ones left?

Maybe you and your DH can choose the same color mug and let the kids have their own colors...then put some sort of mark on the bottom to tell your and your DH's apart?

Has the price went up on these mugs within the past month? I thought I read somewhere they had.

Also if you buy one for a stay at Vero Beach for a few days and then head over to the world for a day or two, can you still use the mug at the world?

1. No, still $16.99 for your length of stay.

2. You could use at WDW if you pay the $16.99 at your WDW resort to activate it on that system.

Ok, so a no go on buying it at Vero Beach and being able to use it there and for one day at Saratoga Springs. Guess I will pass on the purchase then.

Do all resorts have the same drink selections? I like sweet tea with lemon. Do they have different tea selections at the drink stations? Also, the last time we stayed at Pop the sodas seemed watered down or more carbonated water than coke. We will be staying at AoA this time if anyone would like to chime in on their drink stations.

I know you can purchase a mug at a WDW resort then use it at VB within the 14 day period, so I would assume the reverse is also true. It's the same system both places.

Is this something new? In March my In Laws bought mugs at VB and when they got to OKW, they didn't work. The CM at OKW said the 2 systems are separate and charged them to activate the mugs at WDW.

I have a quick question that may have been answered and I missed it. When you have a split stay with dinning plan on both, do you get a second mug at the second hotel?

Yes you do. Disney does not recognize a split stay. To them, you have to separate reservations.

Hmm, maybe it's a recent change that they're 2 different systems? In January, my parents bought mugs at SSR then used them at VB, and that wasn't the first time they had done that.

Were they selling the same mug design at VB that is currently being sold at WDW, or was it different?

I'm going to both VB and WDW in July/August, so I guess I'll find out for sure then!

I saw someone who had the middle portion of the lid swapped, allowing for more color options for a larger family. I haven't tried it myself, but it looked cool (ie the middle of the lid was red and the outer ring was blue).

We have the DDP for 4 nights then moving to another resort for 16 nights. I assume that the mug will work for 14 days but can it be extended?

:earsboy: Bill

Last year I read that yes you can extend them. They dont advertise it but you just need to ask a cast member

Thanks for posting that, @jcarwash! I'll update the first post with the new price. Is that the complete set of colors they're offering now? Red, green, blue, purple?

From what I observed it looks like the complete set of current colors (red, green, blue, purple) -- at Pop and AoA the colors were the same, and I didn't see any other color variations on mugs I saw people carrying elsewhere in the parks.
