Had refillable mugs way back in 2003 but not since. Will have them this trip on DXDP (staying at CSR if resort makes a difference).

Can anyone tell me what choice of drinks are available I'm assuming coffee and cola but anything else? Wondering if hot tea or powerade is an option?

thanks

tea, coffee, different sodas, hot chocolate, the tea is either in bags for hot tea or cold sweet ice tea that is popular down in florida areas..
I dont think I saw any power drinks in the area of the drinks....with your plan you get drinks at your meals but I guess if you get thirsty during the day you would need something extra....
I hope you have a great trip

there was a powerade (or something with a similar name) on the Soda Fountain at POFQ right along with coke/diet coke/cherry coke/sprite/root beer/pom. lemonade. As Pumba said, hot tea was available in the form of tea bags & hot water.

Yes, hot tea is available. I usually get that at the end of the day!!
They also have sweet tea now!! Love that stuff!!

i believe they had one choose of powerade in the soda machine but i am not sure if it was at everyone.

If you are eating at the food court, you do "get" a drink with your meal, but you can also choose to use your mug to get a "free" drink and use the meal drink credit as a snack credit. So your tray, for an adult meal would look something like this. 1-entree 1-dessert 1-snack and 1-refillable mug drink. We got a Mickey ears rice krispie treat with almost every meal at the food court to bring home. We did eat a few there :mickeybar but we brought most home to give to our nieces/nephews and to have a little "taste of WDW" after we got back.

How do you go about using your meal drink credit as a snack credit? Who has the ability to convert that? I never knew that...

Where were you allowed to get a snack item instead of a drink? We've stayed at Contemporary, Beach Club, POFQ, POP Century and Polynesian with dining plans and we were always told you can have either a fountain drink or a bottled drink as our dining plan meal beverage (powerade, bottled water, vitamin water, etc.) No other substitutions were allowed (daughter asked about getting a milkshake...they told her no, she'd have to use a snack credit to get a milkshake.)

Thanks for all the feedback - that sorts out three of the four of us.

I'm easily pleased - coffee or diet coke. DH likes hot tea (typical Brit) or green tea so the hot water system will suit him perfectly.

DS doesn't like fizzy drinks but will love hot choc and powerade if available.

DD is the odd child who will only drink water and nothing else (not complaining long may it continue) have ordered bottled water from garden grocer as she will drink at least 5 bottles a day in addition to her meals.

Didn't realise we'd have so much choice - will probably use it early morning, late at night and at pool Thanks again to you all.

The included drink at a CS is not a snack credit per se when using your resort refillable mug with your meal. You still get a drink as part of the CS credit meal.

What the OP means is that for your CS meal drink you choose water or bottled juice or some other bottled drink that they allow, use your mug for your meal, and tuck away the included bottled drink to use later, thus saving a snack credit for another time. In other words, you use the bottled water you got with your meal to drink in the parks instead of using a snack credit to get it in the parks. You actually drank from your mug during your CS meal, and saved the water (or whatever) for later.

We frequently get either bottled water for the parks or bottled juice to save and use with an in room breakfast the next day when we purchase a mug for our stay.

Actually, that is not what the PP said.

The PP said that on their tray, they had "1-entree 1-dessert 1-snack and 1-refillable mug drink". No bottled drink to use later - they got rice krispie treats instead of a drink.

I was interested in this as well - it would be great if it worked.

We stayed at POP Century last time and we also allowed to get a snack in lieu of the drink since we used refillable mug for CS meals at the resort.

I am wondering now if someone at WDW goofed or was it standard practice?:confused3

hopefully it was not a goof! Didn't work when we were at POP 2 years ago...or POFQ this May. Hopefully more people will try it & report back!

I am interested in the answer so I can feel well informed on our next visit.

I have to say they have switched the iced tea to the soda type tea and it is awfal. I end up brewing a cup of hot tea and then pouring it over ice. I think it is Golden Peak not sure

Ok, now I am confused....do you still get a dessert with your CS meal??

We are used to 1 entree, 1 dessert, 1 drink and we usually get white milk to put in our fridge for our little guy later. Then we just use our mugs to get a drink.
