Refillable Drink Mug questions?

Oh, I forgot to mention that we were at Pop Century. They have frozen cokes and frozen blue things.

We will have a double stroller at the parks. Do you think if we fill the mugs before we leave the resort and then just leave the empty mugs in the storage under the stroller they will be safe when we leave the stroller in front of the rides/shows at the park. Don't want to take them in the parks and then they get stolen:confused3

Thanks.

I would certainly hope it would be safe, it would be pretty sad to steal something from under a stroller which most likely would have been used. If you have a blanket or some other item you could cover them to be sure that it isn't taken on you.

I know that most of your other questions about the mugs have been answered but here is a pic: They are plastic, 8 oz

I'd be more concerned of my stroller being stolen. i was nervous about leaving our stroller out there because it was pretty expensive (not just one of those umbrella ones) but after a few times i relaxed and nothing ever went missing.

We are going on a 10 trek. Four days at SSR, then two days at POP and then four days at AKV. Wondering if we buy mugs at SSR, we can continue to refill at the other resorts.

This year the mugs are the same at all the resorts but SSR (I'm almost positive that is the right resort).

I think it also depends on where you are staying. If there is a food court with a self-serve fill up, it is easy to use. Some resorts do not have a food court or a place to fill up your mug easily. (Yacht club comes to mind, although BC now has the marketplace)

DH and I buy the refillable mugs each trip - we're both coffee and coke drinkers, so they are definitely worth it for us. :drinking1
However, we have not ever bought the mugs for our 3 kids (ages 9, 6 & 6). Since they don't drink coffee or soda and we're on the DDP for meals, another 3 mugs is just not necessary for our family. Plus, when I'm not having a coke, I can always fill it with lemonade/juice for them.

Yes the mugs are very worth it. Lol. I know all to well about buying for a large group. :)

You've convinced me. I am buying them the first thing.

Thank you for the pictures Mama Coog. The cups are really cute. I was surprised. I thought they would be the cheap looking fast food kind.

Thanks for you answers everyone.:flower3:

We were told that the mugs we bought on a previous trip would be good for future trips. Is that untrue? We planned to bring our mugs back with us in January. Thanks.

No they are only good for the length of the stay in which you bought them. You are supposed to buy a new cup every trip

Can anyone tell me what your choices are for refilling the mugs? My family doesn't drink soda - well except for seltzer sometimes, and my husband and I only have one cup of coffee or iced coffee in the morning with breakfast. Other than that, it's bottled water and an occassional smoothie. I'm assuming bottled water is not included. So, it may not be worth it for us.

Thanks so much.

I buy the mug simply as a souvineer and getting the occasional pop in it is just a bonus:confused3

SSR has the same mug; it's different at CSR. You can go nuts with all these initials!

We love to get them as a souvenier. It is a time saver and money saver for us. We typically fill it up in the morning and in the evening. My husband can suck down some soda, so he covers the cost for both of us. It is great not having to stand in line to pay during the busy breakfast hours.

Tip: be sure to look for the hidden mickey on the mug.

I think that depends on when you bought them. What I have learned here is that once upon a time they were good for every trip, but that changed along the way.

If you got a mug when it was supposed to be permenant then I think you should still be able to use it.
