Will be staying at Poly and AKL savannah and didn't know if I should rent a fridge or buy a cooler for the room.THANKS!
Kim

When we stayed at the concierge in the Polynesian we had a refrig in the room and never used it:rolleyes: because we could always go the lounge for cold drinks.

If you're driving you can buy a small frig new for what the rental fees are over the course of 8 days. Otherwise I'd rent the frig instead of hassling with ice.

I've often thought it ironic that they offer you the fridge for free in concierge. That's probably the time when you are least likely to need it... I took a small cooler with me to WL last weekend. I only used it for bottled waters and the boiled peanuts my sister brought me, however. ;) We just took turns going for a bucket of ice. It was no real hassle and took all of three minutes.

We stayed at the Poly in April and for the first time rented a frig ($10.00 per day). We really put it to use. My 2 DD's kept OJ cold (that's all they drink other than water). We also turned to freezer down on low and froze our bottled water for taking to the parks the next day. I would say that it really was worth it. I guess it all depends on how much you drink.

We never requested one but at the Poly in July there was one in our room and again last Friday, both of our rooms had a fridge in them, for no charge.

Not every resort's concierge level offers a fridge.

We stayed at the GF in a lagoon view room in the Boca Chica building and we HAD a refridgerator!! It was GREAT!

So now after reading this post, I'm all confused as to why we had one. It seems inconsistant to say the least as to who gets a free fridge!
