What do we get? I know I should know but have no clue.

For the first refferal that closes you will receive $200 in Disney Dollars, credit on dues, or credit towards the purchase of points. For the 2nd referral you will get the same choices but the amount is $350. So you might be looking at a total of $550. That is if they close in the same calendar year. If one closes in 2002 and the other in 2003 then they are both worth $200. Just remember that they had to mention that you referred them right away when they contacted DVC. After the fact won't get you a thing. You should receive a refferal letter a few weeks after they close where you can make your choice on the incentive you want.

Some states don't allow referals. In that case all you'd get is a thank you note.

Do you get any sort of credit or allowance for add-ons to your own contract? Just curious if there is some adjustment or if you pay the same amount per point, etc. as someone who is buying in initially.

I don't think so. The buyer must mention your name on first contact to DVC. Since you are adding on, you have already contacted DVC on your initial purchase. I hope that makes sense.

Since the owner that asked the intial question is from NH I didn't bother with which states are able to receive the incentive. NH is one that does have the program approved. The states that an onwer can receive a referral gift are:

Alabama, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

This list was taken from the latest Sharing The Magic Rewards Guide that members received earlier this year. The guide was in the packett that we got with the postcards of the resorts. Just a note, if you are from New Jersey there are special instructions on how a member can refer someone.
