Referral reward points?

Does anyone know how long after closing I'd receive the referral reward points? A friend/co-worker bought at AKV and closed this month, I'm wondering when I'll receive the $200 reward for the referral.

Also, does it come in the form of a gift card/disney rewards, etc?

You need to "ask" for the $. You can do this online at dvcmember.com it says,
"Now you can select your choice of Rewards and view your redemption history on the Members' website." Once you select your reward they will send it to you.

Not everyone is entitled to the reward. Some States and Countries do not allow referral rewards. Texas is one of them.

I had referred two people and had been looking for mine as well. i called my guide and he looked it up in the computer and he said their guide had never filled out the right paperwork fopr me to get the credit. he did a little computer work and two days later the rewards were online waiting for me to redeem

We are in NY and I know we get it. problem is I asked her today when they closed and she said they didn't close yet!!! I'm wondering if they are backing out on their purchase, but I won't dare ask her. I know there was a hold up with her paper work, because she goes by her maiden name, and originally they made the paperwork out to Mr. & Mrs. so and so, and she had to push them to change it, but that was in Sept! Wonder what's up with that.

I was told for my transaction which was direct through DVC..we closed beginning of October..was told my $500 Disney Visa and Deed should be here by mid November..I'm not that anxious for mine, but I certainly want to receive it...I'm setting the $500 toward AKV Dues..nice thing with AKV Kidani..won't be due until June 1st!

Usually about 90 days after closing.

Our friends closed on Sept. 1 and within one week we received a thank you card from our guide (they purchased through the same guide). We received the paperwork with our choices for our reward within 4 weeks. We did not need to call and ask for it. It only took two weeks for us to get our gift card once we mailed in our paperwork.

We signed preliminary paperwork 8/15, final paperwork 9/15, official closing 10 days later. I received an e-mail from the person that I used as a referral today that she was credited with the money in her account yesterday. We also received our Visa gift cards today! Hope this helps you figure out your timeline.

Just an FYI, the gift card comes fed ex and you have to be there to sign for it or pick it up at the designated fed ex location. The PIN you'll need to activate it is sent through regular US mail. We had pretty much beat our heads against the wall trying to activate it when the PIN came the next day in the mail. Would have been nice if we had known that in advance.
