For almost 30 years, no one knows for sure what the maximum occupancy of the MK is.......75K, 90K, 100K, etc. etc.

Are there occupancy permits for each building or attraction?

Has anyone taken the time to research the buildings and then crunched the numbers?

Just a thought?

Even so, addng up any "official" occupany in the buildings wouldn't come close when you consider how much open outside space there is in the MK.

I'm wondering if there is an actual legal occupancy limit for a park, or if Disney simply picked a number based on season/number of cast members/theorhetical safety issues etc.? Most fire & safety departments only deal with inside building space.

I have no idea what the limit would be but i have read reports from the orlando sentinel on holidays like christmas/easter when parks were closed down for hours at a time due to the crowds, so there must be some limit.
Though i think even in these times resort guests are allowed entry.

Buildings do (or should) have an occupancy limit.

Except I don't see how or whether Disney monitors how many people cram or crowd into any particular building with lots of open space (for example Living with the Land at Epcot or Diamond Horseshoe Revue(sp?) at MK) if it starts raining.

Where there is indoor queuing space I am sure Disney had occupancy limits and the number of fire exits well planned out.
