Reducing the military...why???

I been in the navy 15 years now but felll to see why they are reducing our number. Right now we are increasing to sending 80,000 sailors to support iraq, afgan., and africa missions. This is putting alot of stress on the shore commands and sailors. Most sailors are coming from sea commands are going right back to a deplyment. Where the down time??? Where the time with your family??? It seem they only care about saving money(100 people out of the navy = $1,000,000) then just make everyone else do the job of 3 people. Thing have changed alot in the last 10 years on how they treat the personnal. Now i no why they made labor laws. I guess I dont have too much to complain compare to the army and marines. They got it even worst right now (up to 18months deploy come home for 3 months then get deploy again).
Guess im just being mr grumpy being stuck out here in the middle of Africa. Well i guess i stop venting. Only 4 more months in the bush.

I hear ya!! It sucks all around!! DH is in a forward deployed command (Navy too) and by the time he gets home in May, he'll have been gone about 12 out of the last 15 months.
