Reduce, reuse, recycle

But there are great demands from the public for plastic recycling facilities and because of this it has been decided to collect plastic bottles at the Baling Plant Civic Amenity Site and Clyne Civic Amenity.
Hope this Helps.
Thanks :) I work for our local government, so I think I know where you found the information! ;) Hopefully, as recycling becomes more and more essential, more provision will be made to deal with materials locally.

Unfortunately, the last couple of times I've tried to take plastics to the Clyne site you mention, that particular service has been 'unavailable'. It's still a great site for recycling pretty much anything else you can think of, so I'll check the plastic situation again next time I go there.

Mind you (saying it tounge in cheek) quite a few radical recyclers would say that we are all hypocrytes as we enjoy flying across the Atlantic in environmentally polluting metal tins, without paying a huge amount on the ticket price for the damage we do to the environment.
One environmentalst I met said that nobody should go out of their county on holiday, as we pollute the atmosphere and damage the environment at the places we vacation at!

too true Obi, but I do feel that if we make some effort in one direction then we'll be a bit 'let off' in another, personally I'd die if I couldn't travel anymore and I do love the 'eco tourist' holiday spots, I do believe Disney is fairly environmentally friendly as it has huge efforts in recycling and low insecticide use etc and I'm sure it could make other cutbacks (as could we all) with packaging etc and I'm sure the amount of food wastage would feed half of the third world countries!
