Has anyone redeemed their MyPoints for a webcertificate then used it on the Disney website to purchase a gift card? And, if so, can that gift card be used at Disney World or just at the Disney stores?

Thanks! Trying to figure out the best use of my points before our December trip!

They online Disney store has two gift cards one for store only and one that can be used at the parks www.disneygiftcard.com. You will need an extra dollar in your account to purchase the $25 gift card. If you call the web certificate number they will give you the extra dollar so you don't have to use your own money! I have gotten this gift card with my web certficate from mypoints in the past with no problems.

Thanks for the response!

Here's a dumb question. I have enough points to get four $25 gc's (so each person in my family can have one). Will I need $4 extra in my account or is it just $1 for the whole order? Should I call webcertificate before I even start ordering the gift cards?

Thanks again!

You would just need an extra dollar in your account no matter how much you spend on the gift cards. Then if you want to order some more gift cards in the future the dollar will still be in your account. I would call webcertificates once you get your certificate from mypoints. If you try to order them online before you have the extra dollar they will decline your order once they go to process it.

I just did this exact same way just a few months ago and was surprised how easy it was (Im not real good with computers and never ordered anything over the internet)

so I was amazed!!!

I used to print out the page with my account # etc and go TDS and have them put in the amount manually and buy $DD but lately none of the CM want to do it that way :confused3

actually this was much easier--just remember to have webcertificate put the $1 on your account when I used to get $DD though I never had this problem

you can also call the hotel and give them the account # and put the amount on your hotel bill and then charge against it.

I one time had a trip to vegas booked and used the webbie account # and put it as a deposit on the booking (used AAA) that worked too

Thanks so much! I ordered my webcertificates this morning. It said they would take 2-6 weeks to arrive. Do ya'll remember about how long it took to receive yours? Thanks! Have a great day!

It took me about 1 week this time to get my e-mail confirmations from webcertificates. I cashed out for $75. Instead of going through the webcertificates website I got the Mastercard from them so that I can use it anywhere. I love it! Makes it easy to take to WDW!

How much does it cost to get the plastic card? I remember reading it was something like $6? Thank you!

Yup $6. Every time that I get a webbie it knows when I cash out to add it to my card. I love it!

very easy to use then but Im still to cheap to spend $6 :confused3 :rotfl:

thats alot of clicking to get that extra $

just my 0.2 :rotfl:

You only have to pay for it once. My thing is that I click away and shop thru to get the points. I cash out for $100 a year and take the card to Disney with me. I count it as extra cash in my wallet.

I'm back for more help please!!! I got the 4 webcertificate e-mails and I just went to claim the first one. I had to print out something which I did. But the e-mail I printed out is just a gray background with a design that says "webcertificate". Where is the info I need to use the darn thing?

I only have a black ink cartridge in my printer. Is it printing in color and that's why its not working? I sure don't want to have to go buy a color print cartridge just to be able to get the info to use the certificates. I tried calling the wc people but, of course, they are closed on weekends.

Please help if anyone knows what's wrong!! Thanks so much!!!

was it webcertificates or the disneyshopping.

when I got mine I printed out the page from disneyshopping.com

all the page is a confirmation of your order

is there a way to print in grayscale (I think thats what our printer has)

the page does print in color but before I printed it I went into preferences and then picked gray scale or tone or something to that effect

give that a try--

let me know if that works

good luck

Web cert usually sends you a link to thier website where you can get the cert number. or at least that is how I did it a while back. One thing to be careful of, if you don't use the webbie up with in a year, they charge you a fee. So spend it all!

I was finally able to claim my webcertificates after two calls to their customer service. I don't know why I had so much trouble, something about my account being inactive. But its fixed and I ordered my Disney gift cards while the lady was on the phone to make sure it all went through okay.

I ordered them by going through www.disneyland.com and didn't need the extra dollar in my account. I don't know why some have needed that. I asked her about that before I knew the transaction would go through without the extra dollar and she said I would have to add the extra buck by charging it to my credit card!!! Thankfully I didn't have to do that.

Thanks for all the help here!

have fun spending the extra $

Its funny cause with the card you dont feel like you're spending real $ :goodvibes
