Did Redbox changed their fees? When I go to check out a movie online, it now comes up $2.00. Granted that is still cheaper than those box stores but i never saw anything about it changing. :confused3

The one I rented at last week was $1.00.

Are you reserving it online? Maybe that's why there is a difference in price.

Mine is $1. There are 2 free codes floating around now too:
BREAKROOM
and
DVDONME

Thanks you for these, I miss the free Monday codes. I don't know if it will work with these codes, but other times I have been able to rent three (that's where I stopped) DVDs with one code by using a different CC for each one. It's worth a try if you want another movie.

The one in my local Walmart has now changed to $2 the first night and $1 each additional night...kind of annoying...while cheaper than Blockbuster I think I will just go back to Netflix...1 movie a week will run about the same cost as Netflix and I do not have to leave my house to do Netflix.

Just a thought - last Saturday, Blockbuster charged us $1.05 (.99 + tax.) When I almost dropped dead in surprise, they informed us "the middle of the store is this price for the Holidays."

In Florida locations it has been 1.07 including tax per night and another dollar for reserving it online. Otherwise, just a dollar per night.

I only paid a dollar the other day and I reserved it on line, but I did notice it had 2 lines. The first night and then a line for each additional night price.

How do you use the free codes? At the machine?

When you go to the machine there is a button in the lower left that says, "rent with a code" or something like that. There are lots of codes floating around (just google "redbox codes" and sign up for their e-mail). We have never paid for a movie there.

HTH

We rented 3 movies last night and just got confirmation of return and they were only $1 each. Hope it stays the same, though $2 still isn't too bad.

The free codes work once for each CC you use. If you have 2 credit cards an a debit card you can get 1 free rental for each, so 3 per code, etc.

We rented UP this week and it was $1.00 + tax.

I rented two there yesterday - one was $1 and the other was $2. I asked the clerk about it and was told that the newest releases are now $2. The $2 was Ice Age 3 and just came out last week.
