It just irritates me all the more that they decided to start playing well NOW.

This could have been a much different series. I'm not trying to jinx them (they do MUCH better when I am pessimistic anyway) but history is NOT on their side here.

NO ONE has ever come back from 0-3 to win a playoff series in the history of professional baseball. Let's all just keep this in perspective.

Yanks lead 3 games to 2 going back to NY for 2 games.

But, instead of Burkett pitching against Pettite, we've got Schilling against Lieber.

I hope the end result is the same too (for game 6 only )
