I've been coaching my grandson (almost 2) on the finer points of Red Sox baseball. You see, the Detroit Tigers leave something to be desired, so I have taken it upon myself to convert him to a Red Sox fan. He's too little for me to teach him the usual chant of "Yankees ****" so I have taken another tact. I ask him what he thinks of the Red Sox and he claps, I ask him what he thinks of the Yankees and he says "Yuck"!
Small victories for me, let the sports team brainwashing begin!

When I was living in New York, I swear I had no idea that there was a Yankee/Red Sox rivalry. No one really cared over here. And I live near NYC, not in the middle of nowhere.

Now that I'm in Boston, I get glares and comments for stating that I'm from New York. I don't mention the Yankees at all, and you should see the reaction the words "New York" get. Jeez.
