Ooo, I know. Just found this out when I went to MLB to see how they were doing and saw the game was on at 8 tonight. Then there's the hold your breath moment while we see if ESPN is going to show it down here.

And .... THERE IT WAS!!!! To an out of the area Red Sox fan, happiness is finding an unexpected game on TV to watch.

Better still, we've got Thursday night on ESPN with Cleveland and then a three game set with Tampa Bay this weekend.

Life is good!

Sox are always on tv. They used to be my 2nd favorite team, but I hate them more than the Yanks now. Too many fake bandwagon fans, women wearing pink Sox hats, guys who never liked them before wearing Sox fitted hats, overexposure on TV, etc.

How do you know they are bandwagon fans. I mean I don't doubt some are... I have a Pink Sox shirt and I've been a fan since I went to my first game at Fenway in 1981... If they had pink hats and clothes in the 80's I would have worn them then..

DH is a lifelong fan and I am a 20 year fan (since I got my dh) and I wear my pink Boston hat with PRIDE. Nobody asked you anyway

Sure, there are fair weather fans. We saw the same thing with the Celtics when Bird came to town. Back in the late 60's and early 70's, they couldn't give tickets to the Celtics' games away.

I've seen Ted Williams play, Yaz, went to the '67 World Series and I admit it was much easier to get tickets back then. So I do agree with some of what you're saying. For the upwardly mobile ME generation, the place to be seen is Fenway. Considering the price of a game, food, etc., you have to be fairly well off. My '67 World Series tickets cost $4.00 for standing room and $2.00 for the bleachers. Even with inflation, things are totally out of whack now.

At any rate....

Well, I have been going to Fenway since I was a little girl, and love Boston and love the Red Sox. I have raised three kids who have proudly followed in my footsteps. For some of us, it is in the blood. 'Boston, you're my home!' GO RED SOX!!!

I am a lifelong Sox fan and I don't see a problem with the pink hats - or the green ones with the on them for that matter.
