Red Roof Inn/Motel 6 Stay

Hey, I will be staying at the Red Roof Inn/Motel 6 during my upcoming DL trip. Has anyone stayed here before, and do you know any tips on this motel? I called and they said they offer luggage holding after check out to spend more time in DL.

What did you think of your stay? How far is it from DL? Walking distance? ETC

I've stayed here twice once last year and once this year. Both times were pleasant enough stays, our room was clean and check-in was pretty painless. If you have children I'm not sure you'd want to walk from there (heck I wouldn't wanna walk from there ) but you can take the art shuttle which stops right outside the lobby, runs every 20-ish minutes and costs $3 per person, kids under 5 are free though, per day. They have fridges available for an extra $5 per day. The pool is okay, we used it last year and I believe the whole pool is like 3 feet deep, but it was clean at that time. This year we didn't go in it as we were only staying one night before moving to a different hotel. I was a bit irked though when we moved to the carousel only to find the motel 6 had better cable Also our room was fairly quiet this trip, last year we had some really noisy people above us and that was annoying. If you ask for a room at the front of the building you can see the fireworks, depending on if they have them when you go, last year we were on the 3rd floor, above the lobby and could see the fireworks from the balcony in front of the room. They have hot chocolate & coffee available in the lobby in the mornings, a microwave, vending machines and a small giftshop. There is a 7-11 about half a block down street if you'll be there without a car and need supplies. Have a great trip
