After being loyal HoJo fans for 7 years, we decided to try out the Red Lion Hotel. Here are pictures from our stay …

Hotel: Red Lion
Date of Stay: May 2, 2009
Room: Standard 2 Queens (front desk told us they only had king/queens and all room are the same, no suites etc.)
Cost: $94 bucks plus tax, we booked it the same day we arrived.
Buildings: 2 (main has about 8-10 floors, smaller one has 4-5 floors)
Food: 1 grab and go (frozen food, chips, drinks), 1 restaurant, and room service
Pool: 1 (no hot tub at least from what we saw)
Parking: As of May 5, 2009 parking is $15 a day (more than Disneyland, which is $12)
Side Notes: Pet friendly ($20 bucks a day, 20 pounds or less), IHOP is next store, Garden Walk is a 5 minute walk, Disneyland is a 15/25minute walk, Denny’s is a 5 minute walk.

Overall: We enjoyed it very much but will probably only stay there again if we brought our dog along because personally I do not like staying at places that charge for parking. We were lucky enough to stay right before paid parking went into effect.

To the left is the bathroom door, which has a setting for the lights to turn on automatically when you enter.

Desk/Web access stuff, something my fiancée found funny was everything in the room is so modern but the phones.

I really like the fire pits outside. Makes it look like a resort. I am not a big fan of paid parking either. I could see if a check-in had 2 vehicles, making them pay for the additional vehicle, but c'mon....We already taxes on the room.:scared1:

I get emails of specials from Red Lion and I just got an email containing a 40% off rate/link for the Anaheim Red Lion....HOWEVER the special is very limited as you have to BOOK AND STAY before May 31, 2009....I hope this helps someone. :goodvibes

Parking: As of May 5, 2009 parking is $15 a day (more than Disneyland, which is $12)

Assuming you mean the resort fee at the Disney hotels, it's better and worse. Better b/c if you have a car it covers that, the newspapers during the week, and...something else. Worse if you don't have a car, b/c it's never NOT charged.

I like the style of the room!

Thanks for posting the pics! I like the room style too, also the fire pits look inviting. I bet those will come in handy on cool days/nights if one wants to hang out at the pool. Too bad about the parking fee though. :sad1:

You should post your photos and reviews from this thread in the other hotel thread here Every once in a while people bump this thread up and I think it's a good one for people to see all the rooms in one place.
