Red Candle Wax, light berber carpet Help!

Okay, so far I have gotten all of the wax out of the carpet with a hot blow dryer and paper towels and a curling iron and a brown paper bag. There is some pink residue remaining. Should I brave it and use my iron. I am afraid to melt the fibers (olefin) or is there something else to do. I tried lestoil and window cleaner. Is there something else to do?

I figured that the iron wouldn't get as hot as a regular iron and I could focus the heat to the small area (2 inch) that the wax stain is on. Do you think hair spray would work?

I've used WD40 for red lipstick. I'm not sure if that would work in this case.

I don't know. Berber carpet is really sturdy, especially the good quality ones. I'd stay away from applying any more heat, you don't want the fibers to melt. Try Dawn dishwashing liquid, maybe full strength hydrogen peroxide. I'd try WD-40, it's amazing what that stuff removes. After, clean with a solution of Dawn and water.

Almost there! The WD 40 really took out a lot. Then I had Hot Shot Spot Carpet cleaner and I used Palmolive Oxy Dish Detergent. Didn't have Dawn, it wasn't on sale last week. I usually keep a basket in that particular corner. I threw away the candle, that's for sure! Thanks.
