Good morning,

We will be visiting Disney in December and have a ADR for Ohana breakfast. I have been doing our itinerary, and we really do not have any park time scheduled that day until the Osborne Lights at MGM later. Does anyone know how I can find out prices for the boats etc.? I have looked at the individual resort websites, and cannot find any info. Is this something I can do once I get to the Caribbean Beach(where we are staying), or can I find out the prices and book now. Also, with the weather in December can we just go there after breakfast and do a rental? Any help anyone can give would be great!

thanks :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Well I have been looking all over the web, and I cannot find any site that lists the rates!!!

You do not have to make any reservations to rent boats at the marinas. We have stayed at the Poly before, and have rented the little speedboats. I don't remember the exact cost, but I am thinking it was about 15-20 bucks for 30 minutes. The boats hold two people.

There are also larger boats that can accomodate more people, and if I remember right, the cost for those is about 30 bucks for 30 minutes.

It's a fun way to kill an hour. We would start off at the Poly, and head out past the GF, over past the MK, and then through the little canal out into the section beyond the CR and towards the WL.

For another idea, you may want to consider a scavenger hunt. I don't know how many are in your group, or their ages, but on a down day at the Poly, we often do a scavenger hunt. It usually consists of gathering miscellaneous items from all of the hotels on the monorail line, and then meeting back at the starting point. You can either do it with teams, or just like a quest for the group to get all the items in a certain amount of time etc.

The kids always have a great time with that.

Copper68,

Thanks so much for the info! There will be me, my husband, my daughter 4 and my daughter 18 months, and my parents. So hopefully, it won't cost too much to rent one of the bigger boats!

thanks again,
:)
