Thanks to everyone who commented on my "CM insults child in stroller" post. I've never gotten so much feedback before- I haven't even had a chance to read them all yet! I'd like to clarify a few things, since my comments caused a lot of rather "emotional" responses.
1. I was never in a "ruckus," as one poster called it, about what the CM or the other lady said. I had just read a series of comments about the stroller issue and thought I would share my story. I had no idea it was such a hot topic!

2. I totally understand that a post is an invitation to opinions, and I appreciate all of you who commented, whether you agreed or disagreed, and especially those who did so without insult or ridicule.

3. Even though I will probably never meet any of you in person, for some reason I would like for you to know that I do not do the following:
a. Spoil my child (other than rent a stroller at DW!)
b. Torture my child my pushing her beyond her limits at DW- we go back to the room when she's had enough; the stroller just allows us to get as much as we can out of the 3 days that our budget allows
c. Deny other younger children of strollers- I would gladly give mine up if there ever was a shortage
d. React irrationally to comments- I totally knew the CM was joking, but was just saying it could be a risky thing, and I didn't really care what the lady said- I was just surprised that the stroller was such an issue

These boards have been so helpful to me over the years- I did a lot of "reading" before I ever became a poster. I take approximately 100 7th/8th grade students to DW on a school trip every other year. It takes a lot of planning to pull that off! This past trip was a "grand gathering" I planned for 12 of my family members. I have already booked my trip for next Dec. And by the way, my DD 9, who only weighs 50 lbs., will possibly be in a stroller then (if it doesn't get "outlawed"!) Happy Planning to All!

 I thought that it was really great of you to write this latest update. There were a lot of posts about your subject. It's nice to know you care that people can voice their own thoughts even when they're being rude, and still get your point across gracefully.

Personally, I think it was a little risky to say that on the part of the CM, but it sounds like you know nothing bad was meant by it.

People like things to jump all over and blow up. :confused3

Keep smiling and if you see me at WDW and I look tired maybe you could offer me a ride.....jk :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm glad you have a good attitude. Having been around the boards for a while then, you know that there's not much that anyone does at Disney that doesn't get complained about or critized and some point. And of course besides that, there's the "hot" ones that seem to come up often.

If people worried about all the stuff that's "supposedly" awful, we'd be walking around Disney World on eggshells and apologizing to someone every 5 minutes.

There's a fine line where the annoyed become the annoying and the reaction is just as and many times more rude and embarrassing to others as the action itself. ESPECIALLY in a case like yours, where the "action" is just a personal decision for logical reasons, which hurt no one. Ridiculous!!!

I'm there to have a good time and kindness and understanding go a long way in my book. Snotty comments and intolerant judgmental attutudes will just spread the same. In turn, smiles, kindness and understanding, will also breed the same.
