Record Card Question

I did the College Program FA 2009 and unfortunately ended up with a pretty abysmal record card (3 reprimands and coming very close to the 4th right before my program ended) due to a number of factors including my grandmother's illness and death which made for a few horrible weeks. I still managed to become a campus rep though thanks in large part to my managers who vouched for me and were willing to let me slide a bit and the fact that my recruiter was DESPERATE for reps at my campus (they needed 8, only had 2, and I was the only one to apply, lol).

I am now looking at going back for FA 2011 since I need to do another internship to graduate and I would give just about anything to be back there, leaving in the first place was really rough.

I know that record cards do not transfer from one program to another except in the case of extending a program but what about for people who stayed employed as a campus rep? Also, do reprimands stick with you forever? I was under the impression that it was 4 within a year but I know a PT cast member in my department who was termed even though he had been told they wouldn't affect him anymore.

I know the alternative would be to not be a campus rep the semester right before so that I wouldn't remain employed but I really don't want to give it up even for a few months.

I will definitely not be getting into the same trouble next program and hopefully wouldn't have to worry about getting the 4th but I am just a bit nervous since I cannot find anything on the HUB and don't want to bother my recruiter with something that is a year out. I just need to start working on alternatives if this won't work/ am having panic attacks.

Your record card is your record card. Stuff doesn't disappear per se. What happens is that there is a certain time frame where points/repremands count when it comes to stuff like a transfer.

A rehire status is what is given to people who are no longer employed by the company. What that status is (yes, restricted, no) ultimately determines how easy it will be to return to be employed.

If you are currently a campus rep, then you are considered an active cast member. You don't have a rehire status.

I think when it comes to transfers, they only look at record card notations going back a few months (I think 6, but I could be wrong).

If you are looking at going back for the Fall Advantage program next year, then you probably have no issues since enough time would have passed.

Hope this puts your mind at ease, but this is only my take and I could very well be wrong. You really should contact someone at Disney for an official answer.

Yeah, that is a big reason why I pushed for rep status since I figured it would be hard to get rehired if I left with that record card. I guess my only major concern then would be whether one more reprimand would cause me to be termed during my next program.

Do reprimands stay with you your entire career then? Or is it 4 reprimands in so many years and then they don't hurt you?

Yes, reprimands stay with you. However, they have to happen within a certain time frame to cause termination. If you have any reprimands over a year old then I wouldn't worry about them. They'll only come back to haunt you when applying for management or something like that when they'll examine your entire past with the company.

I looked it up and all I could find was info on the union contract that said it was 4 reprimands in a 24 month period unless you go 12 months without any points. I know this is different since it is the CP but I figured this is probably a good guideline.

The CP/International Program Mod on the HUB though says that record cards do not follow you from one program to another and I am just not sure that the same applies if you never actually left the company since it doesn't specify.
