Hello all.
Fiance and I are going on our Disneymoon in mid-May. We've got all of our ADRs and Fastpasses lined up, but I am little concerned about the Monsieur Paul reservation we made for one evening. Based on what I've read here, it seems kind of hit-or-miss, and as a couple who isn't super used to fancy dining or French cuisine (but we like the IDEA of it), if we end up having a mediocre or bad experience, it will feel like a waste of time and money. We want to have fun and eat good food and drink good drinks!
We are spending the morning/early afternoon at Magic Kingdom (locked into that with our Fastpasses), so we planned on doing an Epcot evening (also we're staying at the Boardwalk, FWIW).
With what else is currently available that day/evening, here are the options I am considering:
1. We cancel dinner at Monsieur Paul, schedule a late lunch at either Skipper Canteen or the Edison in Downtown Disney, have a little break at our resort, then spend our evening in Epcot sampling stuff from the Flower & Garden Festival booths.
2. We cancel dinner at MP, return to our resort for a little break, head to Contemporary for California Grill, then monorail to Epcot for the rest of the evening. (Kind of incorporates unnecessary travel.)
3. Stick with our current plans and give MP a chance.
ETA: Also of possible relevance - I don't like seafood and do not eat red meat.
